Brittany + Trip | Navy and Blush Wedding at Willow Rock Farm | Fort Hood, Texas

Meet the worlds sweetest couple, Trip and Brittany. These two tied the knot again on June 24th, after fighting battle after battle together. Their story is remarkable and inspiring. Brittany tells it the best.

“Trip and I met while we were both active duty in the Army and stationed at Fort Bragg in North Carolina. It was pretty much love at first sight. We dated for only a few months before we decided to tie the knot!

On June 24, 2008, we got married but because of where we were stationed (in Virginia at that point), none of our family or friends were able to witness it. We had two beautiful children in our 6 years of marriage but life got hard and our marriage fizzled out. We divorced in October 2014.

In June 2015 Trip and I found out that our daughter, Ily, needed brain surgery. She was only 2. She had her first brain surgery July 31, 2015, and then needed an emergency second brain surgery only one week later, August 7, 2015. These times were hard, but God saw us through. He was shaping us through this tragedy.

Although we were divorced, we did our best to co-parent and raise our children. In January 2016 Trip was diagnosed with a stage 2 Meningioma (brain tumor) and underwent brain surgery on January 26, 2016. Not knowing we had divorced, his neurosurgeon approached me once surgery was over and asked me if I had noticed any changes in Trip’s behavior over the last several years. He confirmed that the brain tumor had caused a lot of the issues between the two of us and gave us his most sincere apologies that this ugly tumor had torn our family apart.

Trip and I are adults. The tumor was not the only cause of our divorce, but it played a HUGE role in it. It is mind boggling (no pun intended) to think that there was a medical reason behind so many unexplained circumstances in our marriage.

Trip’s surgery to remove the tumor was a success and he deployed to Iraq in May 2016, only a few months after his brain surgery.

In November 2016 we found out that our daughter, now 4 years old, needed a third brain surgery. She had her third brain surgery on November 29, 2016. Trip was unable to be there because of deployment but he was a great source of support because he knew the pain she was going through.

Trip returned home from Iraq on March 1, 2017. On March 3, 2017, our daughter had a repeat MRI to make sure the last surgery was successful but unfortunately, the MRI did not give us the results we wanted. Although our future (medically) is unknown, God has shown us that we are meant to be. On March 20, 2017, Trip proposed to me and I said YES!

Our little family has been through the ringer. We’ve survived four brain surgeries in the last 18 months the and made it through multiple deployments over the years.

On June 24, 2017, Trip and I will be getting remarried and would love for you to come celebrate this amazing day with us. This moment in time is not only special because we have chosen God’s love, one of forgiveness and grace, but it also serves as a celebration of life and how precious we have learned it to be. This is our, ‘We do, take two’

‘…And He has made everything beautiful in His time.'” -Brittany

They had a gorgeous field wedding out in the country in Fort Hood, surrounded by so many family and friends. It rained all morning, but we ended the day with a perfect Texas sunset as they said I do.

I loved this couple’s sweet love story and I love their images….

Here are a few favorites, ENJOY!
