Troy & Jaclyn | Fall Engagement Session

Simplicity is Gorgeous!

Sometimes when you’re doing an engagement session with an absolutely gorgeous couple, all you need is a camera, the couple, and a soft nature scene.

This fall engagement session didn’t need a cityscape or even a large park. This couple decided that simplicity was best, and let me tell you, they were absolutely right!

Jaclyn and Troy knew they wanted to capture some pictures of their engagement and have more portraits than just from their wedding, but they didn’t want their session to look too planned or complex. They decided that simple would be best, and to let their love light up the camera.

The couple embraces each other.

This couple was absolutely in love, so needless to say, their plan worked quite well!

For their fall engagement session, we picked a local park here in Central Texas. The park was at the tail-end of the fall season, so we had the opportunity to use the near-end fall trees, as well as the still-green grass. This gave us a lot of flexibility for the session between the different locations.

Our Session Design

Troy & Jaclyn absolutely rocked their outfits. With jeans and a dressy top, this couple took simple to gorgeous so easily.

Jaclyn wore a white sweater, paired with nice jeans and adorable tan heeled booties. Troy wore a dark blue paid shirt, paired with nice jeans and dress shoes. Just like that, the couple dressed up their jeans to a T, making for a cute, comfy, and casual look.

During their fall engagement session, we walked around the park, taking pictures in the open green field around sunset with the glowing sun. We found a little bridge in the park as you can see above, which made for a great place to stop and relax, and of course pose for a cute portrait too!

When we go into parks, we utilize all of the different parts. We decided that the park path would be an absolutely perfect spot for a little dance. You can see Jaclyn and Troy dancing together in the portrait below. How splendid!

As you can see, a lot can be done with grass, a few trees, and cute little bridge. Jaclyn and Troy rocked their session, and I cannot wait to capture their wedding as well!

See you guys soon!
