An Inquiry for a Birthday Party | A Surprise Wedding
As a photographer, I get a lot of fun surprises. I have to say, though, this is one of the best surprises I have been a part of!
When I had Harley + Cameron contact me about a birthday party, I was all in. I love capturing celebrations and events, but what I found out after was even more exciting. This was not an ordinary birthday party.
They were planning on getting married!!!
As you can probably guess, I was more than excited to be a part of their surprise special day. Surprise weddings are a very rare request, so it was absolutely an honor to capture for them.
The Wedding Dress
This wedding was the opposite of ordinary. Naturally, the details were not ordinary either.
Harley’s wedding dress wasn’t white, but rather a gorgeous red with a floral pattern. Unlike a traditional wedding, Cameron knew what Harley was going to be wearing! In fact, Cameron chose this gorgeous dress himself!
The Bohemian Ceremony
Harley + Cameron’s wedding was intimate and just absolutely gorgeous.
The isle was covered in flowers with a gorgeous rug leading up to the alter.
The ring bearer and flower girl were their own children, which made this intimate wedding even more intimate. These two little ones went barefoot down the isle, carrying on the bohemian wedding theme.
The little boy matched his dad, while the flower girl nicely accented the bright red of mom’s dress, with a mustard yellow.
Harley’s Cupcakes
Harley + Cameron put together all of the decorations that you see below. They decorated their entire surprise wedding, down to the vines laying across the tables and even the delicious desserts.
Since Harley owns her very own bakery, she made some yummy cupcakes for all of the guests. These cupcakes were a mixture of chocolate and vanilla, very delicately frosted, to match the gorgeous Bohemian theme of their wedding.
Grilled Cheese for All!
For the main course, Harley + Cameron even had their favorite grilled cheese food truck come and visit them!
I thought this was the best and most delicious idea. The grilled cheese food truck was a delicious option for this summer day wedding, adding a little bit of modern flair to their Bohemian theme.
Maroons, emeralds, and cerulian blues covered the background surprise wedding. Vines and roses covered the tables, connecting everything together so effortlessly.
Harley + Cameron’s wedding was a dream. Not only did I have the opportunity to capture a surprise for all of their family and friends, but I had the opportunity to capture their love, celebrated in a gorgeous bohemian backyard setting.
XoXo, Ryan
