The Champion’s | Tyler, Texas Lake Wedding

A Pleasantly Unique Experience

Chelsie and Hugh inquired with me and told me that their wedding wasn’t going to be a typical wedding. Sure, they wanted the luxury of great florals, matching wedding accessories, and beautiful photography, but they didn’t want every detail to be quaint and traditional.

I wasn’t really sure what to expect, but they didn’t fail to please!

Chelsie is a local Texan, but her fiance, Hugh, is Australian. They wanted their unique wedding to really express who they are together, but separate their individuality as well!

The couple decided on a unique elopement with only dear friends and family members. They did not have a bridal party. However, we still did getting ready photos. Chelsie got into her dress with the help of family and friends. Her wedding dress was not traditional either, as it was two pieces. The dress was fitted and slightly flared into a mermaid styled skirt. The top featured two white straps on her shoulders.

Hugh got ready with his dearest friends as well, featuring getting ready photos from that portion. He put on his cowboy boots and got ready to walk down the aisle.

Chelsie’s father walked her down the aisle, and the unique elopement began. After the ceremony, the couple celebrated by throwing their hands in the air, and we moved on to the bride and groom portraits. Here we took individual pictures of the bride and groom, as well as pictures together in the golden light of the evening. The chemistry between this beautiful couple is very obvious and quite heartwarming.

Their Unique Elopement Details

For their wedding details, they added their own flare. They had a ladder featuring pictures and candles and a guest table featuring unique goodies. I have to admit, I cracked up when I saw these.

Overall, the couple’s wedding turned out just as they had planned. Their lake wedding details were gorgeous but unique, and their night was spent with close family and friends. After portraits, they proceeded into their reception, where Chelsie danced in her converse on the dock, and the couple had a blast with their loved ones.

Congratulations, Chelsie & Hugh!
