Kaitlyn & Lamar’s Country Engagement

Photographing this couple was more than a pleasure. When they first inquired about an engagement session, they mentioned doing it in the country (cows and all!). I immediately fell in love with this idea, as this totally captures my home in Tyler.

The couple decided to keep their outfits simple, but adorable. They matched their country surrounding with a cowboy hat, white blouse, and nice jeans. Lamar wore a plaid shirt that brought both of their outfits together.

Overall, this session was simple yet elegant. The whole time we were doing their photographs, they were relaxed and really enjoyed each other and the land that surrounded them.

The really nice thing about this land that we got the opportunity to take pictures on was that it had a cute little cabin! The couple loved the rustic look of this cabin, so we decided that we absolutely had to take at least one picture in front of it.

Moving through the property, there were so many different little areas that we were able to use!

In the image above, we got the opportunity to utilize the dock! This was a fun little area and a perfect place to take a few portraits by the beautiful little pond. Kaitlyn decided to change her outfit to a gorgeous maroon dress with ruffles on the sleeve. This outfit was absolutely perfect for the dock, as it makes them pop!

Capturing Elegance on a Sunny Day

This session was challenging in that there was a lot of sun that day and a lot of speckled light. Notice how we use the lighting in each picture to our advantage, still giving the pictures a creamy and luxury look. Of course since there were so many awesome little areas like the dock and cabin, we were able to stay out of the sun and create a light and airy look in the shade of those buildings.

Overall, I loved the look that Kaitlyn & Lamar brought to this country engagement session. It captures the country of Texas perfectly, showing off our fields, ponds, and even our little cabins.
