Designing their Session
Allison and Keaton really wanted to do something different from the nature side of engagement sessions. They really wanted to do something that encapsulated who they are as a couple. As you can probably guess by the pictures below, they are a very laid back and loving couple.
When we were trying to choose a location to do their session, we weren’t really sure where we would end up. They knew they didn’t want to do something everyone else was going to do. Not many couples choose to do engagement or couple’s sessions downtown, so they thought that a downtown Tyler engagement session would be perfect!
I especially loved this choice since my hometown is here in Tyler. Next, the couple chose their outfits for the session. They decided to go fairly casual, comfy, but still well-coordinated and well-dressed.
They both decided to wear jeans with more formal tops. Allison decided on a taupe sweater, while Keaton wore a forest green button up shirt. Their tops complimented their jeans perfectly and gave a kick to their casual look!
For shoes, they both decided on more formal shoes. Keaton wore cowboy boots, while Allison wore cute booties.
All together, this downtown Tyler engagement was the perfect mixture of casual, cute, and comfy!
Exploring Downtown Tyler
During the session, we didn’t really have any specific picture locations in mind. We showed up downtown and knew that we wanted to do an urban, city feel, so we walked around and took pictures accordingly.
Along our adventure, we found a really neat dark green door to take pictures in front of. I loved how the door seemed to fit the couple’s outfit choices just perfectly! The way the couple looked at each other in this picture just pulls you in. You can definitely feel the love!
In our exploration of the town, we found lots of historic buildings to take pictures in front of, including this white beauty you can see pictured below. The day was fairly overcast, so we took a walk down the road and took pictures in front of the entire historic downtown strip as well.
If you’re ever up for an adventure like Allison & Keaton, just say the word!
Luckily, this isn’t the last time I’ll be seeing this gorgeous couple. Thanks again, Allison & Keaton!
